Can you tell us a bit about your background?
I write Sigs.. TIK, WS4, DGA, CDF moved to Melbourne from the country around 11, didn't even see graff until I was 13, but from that moment, it's ruled and ruined my life.
How did you choose your tag, any special meaning?
Well, most people still know me by another tag.. It started off as just a variation on that after a court appearance, but now it's almost become and alter ego in itself. Sigs has its own personality to me and it means freedom to do any style I want, and who doesn't love the letter 'S'?
How did you get in to graffiti?
Got shown the WCA wall with How and Nosm at Westgarth, my first real encounter with graff on that level. From then on I was hooked.. Reason? Graff has no reason.
What is it that you love about graffiti that keeps you writing?
Graffiti just keeps me normal. I work a job that has me doing crazy hours, and without graff in my life, I probably wouldn't be here today.. These days I like to paint alone a lot of the time, it's become something I dunno, 'spiritual' kinda like some zen shit... haha man I talk some shit.
Tell us about your style and how it has developed over
the years.
It's funny, with my other tag, I have a very defined style as far as I am concerned, but with Sigs, everyday is different, I feel no pressure to do a certain style, I feel free to experiment. 90% of the time I do shit no-one's gonna see so I don't care. Sigs is trains, that's where it's style is developed.
Who have been your major influences?
Everything influences me. I'm as much influenced by the mood I'm in as anything else.. I think I have for sure been influenced by guys like Pubes, Dorps, Banos etc. but more because I feel they have a freedom to experiment in them. Nothing worse than stagnant style writers. I've never been one to hang with 'writers', don't see the point in shit talking. My crew is tight, but we don't try to act the part.

What music motivates you to paint?
Currently experiencing a Wu-Tang renaissance, but having said that, anything mellow sets me up for that weird shit!
Memorable mission moment
Too many.
Definitely in Italy had a fantastic time, painting in Torino with Natan. Pizza in the car, then crossed the tracks into the maintenance yard in the pouring rain. Strolled through Natan's yard and painted in the shed. Rain on the roof, the smell of paint and steel, that was just perfect.
Any tips you're willing to share to the next generation
of writers?
Please just feel free to paint how you want. Don't listen to anyone. Lose the ego and paint with the feelings you have inside you. If you're depressed, use that in your painting, if your happy, go nuts! Have some fun for christ's sake, but don't fuck up spots.. use your fucking heads kids!
Anything else to add?
